questions

  • Did you know that using Dawn on your cat or dog will kill fleas?

  • Is getting a microchip for my puppy considered humane?
Absolutely. Implanting this devices (which are about the size of a grain of rice) is no more painful than getting vaccination. It’s inexpensive and if your pet gets lost, it helps other vet’s to help locate you.
  • My dog chews on my sofa and bedding. How do I get him to stop?
Puppies chew because they are teething. Take some raw carrots, green beans and freeze them. This helps sooth the teething and gives some relief. Grown dogs may gnaw out of boredom. To determine the cause, you need to figure out what starts his chewing. Is it when the doorbell rings? Or when you arrive home from work? Never scold. Once you have determined the pattern, you should be able to head it off. If your pet gets excited when guests come over-take them for a walk before they arrive. Diverting their attention by throwing around their favorite toy. With help your pet will soon learn to respond by wagging his tail, rather than chewing on your stuff.
